You already have a Cricket thread going, why have you started another one on this shit. This is a FOOTBALL forum

Can anyone confirm if channel 4 will still be using Mambo no. 5 as the theme tune to its cricket coverage?

The new Ahmedabad stadium is the largest in the world, capacity 110,000.

Re: England tour of India (Live on Channel 4)
That's a big bloody stadium.

Actually looks a LOT like the London Stadium! Fitting that, seen as a lot of people's opinion is that it might be better suited for cricket...

Mr KenDoll
I think the old series cricket thread is off the page somewhere with yours about the BOXER ‘Romford Bull’.
Have you had him round to punch you in the ring yet?

Re: England tour of India (Live on Channel 4)
looking forward to this, but with no confidence at all

Get the feeling it's a not bad time for Crawley to be injured given his struggles in Sri Lanka. Missing the first two then coming back in actually feels better for him long term than throwing him straight back in to the toughest challenge there is after 4 low scores on the bounce.

So will Root move up to 3? Can’t really see any other (sensible) option, although I’d rather he didn’t as he’s likely to be effectively opening.

Had a few throw downs with Virat and Puji today - both look in decent nick.

Only dismissed them twice each in my 3 overs at them, which is good for them.

This is the current state of Test cricket .... the likes of Stokes , Burns and Archer will turn to play not having played at all for months.
The broadcaster only confirmed officially as Channel 4 a day or two ago (Sky are saving their money for the next England away tour) and its a guess as to who will bat 3.
Broad and Anderson are England's best two fast bowlers , surely BOTH should play with Archer .... looks unlikely

India are likely to bring in Kohli, Bumrah, Ashwin & Ishant Sharma after their Brisbane TRIUMPH. Changing a winning team .... better players but same attitude ?

It's usually AUS that strolls to 20 wickeys at the Gabba. Conditions may have helped India's inexperienced quicks, but would it be reasonable to drop all three?

Sven Roeder 9:15 Thu Feb 4
Re: England tour of India (Live on Channel 4)
Bumrah and Ishant are automatic picks
Cricinfo seems to think Siraj might keep his place unless they go with 3 spinners ... Ashwin, Axar Patel & Yadav

The positive thing with the injuries for India is that it forced them to bring back Pant and give Gill a chance.

VirginiaHam 9:22 Thu Feb 4
Re: England tour of India (Live on Channel 4)
Thought Ishant was on the edges?

Is Shami fit yet? my favourite bowler of the 3, but maybe too metronomic for his own good. Bowlers who send down the odd ball that looks hittable are very dangerous; think Botham.

If India are thinking 3 spinners, England ought to call the local police and ask if someone stole a very long hosepipe.

Just read that Channel 4 picked up the rights to twenty days cricket for less than what BT paid to show us against Villa last night.

I mean I enjoyed our game yesterday but Channel 4 have picked up one hell of a bargain if it's true.

India will rack up high totals and England will toil.
Crawley is an unfortunate loss.. but Stokes back is a massive plus.
